At the core of the analytical services offered by smartPulse are optimization models that maximize commercial value in battery management and flexibility trading, along with production forecast improvements based on artificial intelligence and statistical methods.
All these efforts are supported by collaborations with expert academics through regular R&D activities. By closely following current literature, applicable approaches are developed and transformed into solutions that create direct value.
In battery management, we develop optimization models tailored to user needs that focus on both arbitrage models for profit maximization and on increasing revenues from day-day, bidding, and ancillary service participations. Thus, the commercial potential of batteries across different market areas is utilized in the most efficient way.
In flexibility trading, we apply models aimed at maximizing the revenue and profit that can be obtained particularly from dispatchable generation sources. These models take into account time series that cover the technical constraints and production profiles of power plants, while also including advanced methods like cross-product optimization offered by contracts of different resolutions.
In our forecast improvement efforts, we combine data from different sources using AI-based and statistical models to produce forecasts with the lowest error margin or the lowest cost. In single-source models, real-time data from the field is used to reduce production forecast error, while in multi-source models, the best-performing results are selected based on defined metrics to increase forecast accuracy.
