How would you briefly define smartPulse's solutions?
smartPulse is a 100% cloud-based SaaS platform developed for operations in short-term electricity markets. It brings together processes such as portfolio management, algorithmic trading, battery energy storage system optimization, forecast management, plant monitoring-control, and data analytics under a single roof.
Who is it suitable for?
Our platform is designed for participants in electricity markets who carry out licensed activities such as energy generation, supply, trading, balancing responsible party (BRP) management, aggregation, and battery energy storage.
In which markets do you provide services?
We are integrated with the leading electricity markets in European countries such as NORD POOL, EPEX SPOT, OMIE, EPİAŞ, HUPX, GME, CROPEX, BRM, and SEEPEX. Our efforts to further expand this list continue uninterrupted.
Can we use data from different forecast providers in our day-ahead and intraday processes?
Yes. smartPulse allows you to use forecast data from different sources in your various business processes, by processing it according to the rules you define. For example, using smartBots, you can automatically compare and combine forecast data from a Source A with data from a Source B to create a custom forecast set that best suits your needs. If you wish, you can also leverage the outputs of your own models at this stage and automatically reflect the resulting hybrid forecasts to your different market processes (day-ahead, intraday).
Can we monitor the real-time production/consumption data of our generation and consumption facilities and use them in our business processes?
Yes. By using our plant monitoring service, which we offer as an integrated function of our platform, you can receive real-time data from the generation and consumption points in your portfolio. You can view this data live on your custom dashboards, use it in automatically generated Power BI reports, or retrieve it into your own software using our advanced API integration features.

Another important benefit of this service is that it can enable easy feedback of actual production data to different forecast providers, especially to improve forecast performance in facilities like WPPs and SPPs which can show real-time production variability.
Can we automate our business processes within the scope of Day-Ahead and Balancing Power Markets?
Yes. smartPulse provides an infrastructure that can automate all your processes, from receiving generation/consumption forecasts and operator plans, to creating your bid sets, submitting these bids to the relevant markets, and making your mandatory notifications. Through smartBots configured according to your needs, special data processing, calculations, and routine notifications can easily be transformed into processes that do not require user intervention.
Can we view notifications that were not made via smartPulse?
Yes. smartPulse makes it possible to track constantly up-to-date values by also pulling your live data from the platforms belonging to the market (EPİAŞ) and system (TEİAŞ) operators. This allows our users to easily view this data on their own screens and use it seamlessly in their automated business processes.
What options do we have to automate our IDM transactions?
We meet this need with 3 methods:

  1. 1) Extensive smartBOT library: When you start using our software, a ready-to-use bot library that covers almost all basic use cases is made available. Using the different parameters of these ready-made smartBOTs and our custom keyword structure, you can define your detailed trading strategy and quickly start algorithmic trading.

  2. 2) Custom smartBOT development service: By sharing your self-developed IDM trading algorithm and parameter set with us, you can request that a dedicated (exclusive) bot be developed, tested, and made available for your use.

  3. 3) Integrated Development Environment (IDE): If you wish, you can develop your own custom bots using JavaScript in the integrated development environment (IDE) on the platform.
What data can we use as input for commercial smartBOTs for the Intraday Market?
Our smartBOTs have the ability to track and use as input many up-to-date data points such as instant and weighted average prices, trading volumes, TEİAŞ instruction volumes, and system direction. Additionally, you can feed your smartBOTs with forecast data you've prepared in-house or obtained from external sources, such as price forecasts and system direction, to easily implement highly specific commercial strategies.
We want to try different strategies (e.g., prop trading, balancing) and leverage our facilities' flexibility. Can we do this?
Yes. smartPulse has an extensive ready-made bot library that offers solutions for a wide range of commercial scenarios. Using our advanced keywords, you can easily adapt these bots to your needs and quickly start capitalizing on commercial opportunities.
Can we access the data on the platform for use in our own business intelligence and reporting solutions?
Yes. smartPulse offers secure and fast access to all your data. You can either manually transfer files or export data live via API integration, using this data in your own reporting and business intelligence infrastructure, or you can benefit directly from our advanced reporting capabilities on the platform.
Can you create custom reports for us?
Yes. Thanks to our flexible reporting infrastructure, we can create custom reports and performance indicators for you. If you wish, you can also access these reports via the smartPulse Mobile application.
Can we exchange data with our own systems?
Yes. smartPulse supports modern API methods. With our GraphQL API, you can pull the data you need with flexible queries, access only the necessary fields, and integrate them into your own systems.
Do we receive notifications in case of an error or a failed transaction?
Yes. smartPulse automatically notifies you if any error or unexpected situation occurs in your processes. Relevant users are informed via email or mobile notifications, so you can take action without delay.
Is there a user guide or documentation?
Yes. Our users can access the smartPulse Docs environment (docs.smartpulse.io) to view guides supported with visuals, API documentation, and sample scenarios for all our modules.
How can we get support besides Docs?
As part of our approach that always prioritizes user experience, a customer success (CS) representative is assigned to each of our users. Your CS representative will stay in touch with you via our support platform, assisting you in your operational and strategic processes.
