Business Continuity Policy

The business continuity management system aims to:

  • Primarily ensure the protection of human life and safety,
  • Continue the services provided with the least possible interruption in order for smartPulse to achieve its strategic goals,
  • Restore critical business processes and IT components identified through business impact analysis to operational status within targeted recovery times,
  • Minimize the time required for critical decision-making in extraordinary situations,
  • Manage risks that may negatively affect business continuity,
  • Manage internal and external communication, as well as relations with the media, during extraordinary situations.

smartPulse, in order to guide its business continuity management system, accepts as its primary priority the safeguarding of human life during crises and extraordinary situations that threaten human safety, and ensuring full compliance with legislation related to business continuity and the requirements of stakeholders, primarily customers.

smartPulse, through the BCMS it has established in alignment with its mission, vision, corporate strategy, and the ISO 22301 standard, ensures the continuity of its operations based on the following policies:

a. While determining the scope of the BCMS, it identifies internal and external issues affecting its ability to ensure business continuity, the relevant parties including regulatory and supervisory authorities, and their requirements.

b. In line with the risk appetite set by management, business continuity objectives are defined, and to achieve these objectives, resources are allocated, including employee competence and, above all, up-to-date, reliable, and redundant technological infrastructure.

c. Considering the very low tolerance for interruptions in the markets served, necessary analyses are conducted, risks are identified early, and proactive measures are taken to prevent interruptions to critical business processes and services.

d. Plans are created, tested, and continuously improved to ensure preparedness for potential crises or extraordinary situations and to minimize potential service interruption times.

e. Operational infrastructures and organizational structures are established at alternative locations to be used in the event of a crisis or extraordinary situation.

f. In the event of a crisis or extraordinary situation, financial losses for smartPulse or its stakeholders are minimized.

g. Under all circumstances, stakeholders’ interests and the organization’s reputation are protected, and measures are taken to reduce potential damages to a minimum.

h. Necessary activities, including training and drills, are carried out to embed business continuity awareness into the corporate culture and to increase employee awareness.

i. Based on the principle that business continuity is the guarantee of market continuity, requirements related to business continuity are considered in the design, planning, implementation, and review stages of all processes and services within smartPulse.

j. The BCMS is regularly reviewed and audited to ensure continuous improvement.
